Whenever we have to make changes at Worth, we like to take the time to address them with our community in an effort to be as transparent and open as possible. As we have hopefully conveyed throughout our years in business, we hold quality of ingredients, dedication to craft and producing great food as well as taking care of our team and community in the highest regard. We have not set out to create just mediocre sandwiches at or below industry standards, but introduce creative, thoughtful food that is exciting as well as supportive of other local farms and businesses. As we continue to evaluate our business model and monitor the health of decisions we make and investments in Worth’s growth, we have many new factors that have challenged us.

We have taken in a lot of feedback this year, from our team, guests, reviews, DMs, comments on social media, carrier pigeon, you name it. We constantly strive to make changes that will make a positive impact in our community. Starting on September 2, 2019 we will be rolling out new additions to our menu. We’ve brought back some old favorites, added some specials that were highly requested and even some ‘secret’ menu items that have been ordered on the regular and have earned their rightful place on the menu. We’ve also taken the opportunity to make some changes to our pricing that was very much needed. At Worth we have always paid our team a fair wage, but as the restaurant industry is growing and flourishing, staying competitive can be difficult. Our suppliers have also felt the impact of the steady increase in minimum wage year over year in Arizona, which has a very real impact on our Cost of Goods. Lastly, we recently wrapped up on a much needed expansion which included additional prep space, bathrooms and dining space for our shop. With our cost of doing business rising, we have to think responsibly about our business model and get creative to ensure that we can continue to make food that consists of higher quality ingredients, made from scratch and also continue to support our local partners.

We will never be able to compete with fast food or chain restaurant prices, but we hope that we can exceed their quality and make you feel like it was WORTH it to dine with us. Our goal is to make you feel that, although you may pay a little more for a sandwich with us, you will also get a lot more for your money too. Moving forward all of our sandwiches (excluding the grilled cheese options) will come with house chips or organic greens. By doing this we are hoping to add value to your experience, while still being compensated at a rate that allows us to produce great food and not sacrifice any of the quality that you’re used to from our team. We appreciate your continued support and encourage you to reach out to us at info@worthtakeaway.com with any questions or feedback that you may have.
